Estonian Air carried 32,613 passengers during February 2013, 17.9 percent less than the February 2012 passenger figure of 39,745.

Of the passengers carried this February 32,260 flew on regular flights.

In the first two months of the year the state-owned airline carried 76,240 passengers, marking a year on year reduction of 7.5 percent. Of the passengers 75,627 used regular flights.

The number of flights operated in the two months was 1,850, of them 796 in February, the airline said

"At the beginning of this year Estonian Air entered into a substantive restructuring process," said Rauno Parras, CCO of Estonian Air. "In this process we are considerably reducing our flight capacity and focusing on operating the routes with high demand and of significant importance to Estonia."

Following the reduction, Estonian Air operates to ten core destinations and some selected seasonal routes, compared to 24 destinations last year. The restructuring process also includes fleet adjustment from the current 10 to 5 aircraft in the future.

Estonian Air flies to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. In addition to the above-mentioned destinations, Estonian Air operates flights to Vienna until the end of March.

Estonian Air will fly between Tallinn and Paris during the spring school holiday in March and the summer tourism season from June 6 to August 30. The second summer destination is Nice, where it will fly from May until the end of September.
