Postimees readers pick best minister

Of government ministers currently in office, Postimees readers overwhelmingly favour foreign minister Urmas Paet. Mr Paet was awarded 4,510 votes – 48 per cent of total tally.

1,975 votes (21 per cent) went to Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, minister of finance Jürgen Ligi coming third with 735 votes.

Minister of agriculture Helir-Valdor Seeder got 551 votes, minister of education and research Jaak Aaviksoo 336, minister of economy Juhan Parts 334.

They were followed by minister of justice Hanno Pevkur (303) and minister of defence Urmas Reinsalu (163).

Regional minister Siim Kiisler, minister of culture Rein Lang, environment minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus, social affairs minister Taavi Rõivas and interior minister Ken-Marti Vaher remained under 100 votes threshold.

The poll gained over 9,000 responses.

On April 6th, the current government was in office two years sharp.
