An unknown hooligan wrote numbers on the monument to the victory in the War of Independence in Tallinn and the police are looking for the vandal.
On Tuesday night at 1:35 a.m. a security company notified the police about a vandal they had spotted on the security camera who was writing on the monument.
«The police squad arrived on the scene a few minutes later and saw that a sequence of numbers had been written on the monument with red spray paint. The squad looked for the possible scribbler in the vicinity but no-one was found,» spokespeople for the North prefecture told BNS.
According to a witness the sequence of numbers that was scribbled on the monument was 1128163.
According to spokespeople the vandal has not been caught yet. The police launched a misdemeanor procedure to investigate the incident.
