Otto Richard Pukk started work this week as chairman of the board of Eesti Energia Tehnoloogiatööstus, the technology subsidiary of Estonia's state-owned energy group Eesti Energia.

For the previous three years Pukk was member of the board in charge of construction.

His predecessor Martti Kork quit to join Saint-Gobain, Eesti Energia said.

Pukk said the range of activities of the company has widened in recent years. "We are no longer oriented solely towards the technologies used in the oil shale industry but supply technological solutions for other spheres as well, including outside Estonia," he said.

Eesti Energia Tehnoloogiatoostus as a manufacturer of metal structures, energy industry machinery and other industrial equipment supplies a wide range of modern technological project solutions. Its complete solutions include both design and installation as well as maintenance.

Based in Johvi, northeastern Estonia, Eesti Energia Tehnoloogiatoostus is with 1,100 employees the second-largest company of the group after the mining arm Eesti Energia Kaevandused in this area.
