Bahrain will soon add Estonia to the list of countries whose citizens can get a visa for the Persian Gulf country at the border.

Bahrain's Foreign Minister Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa told his Estonian counterpart Urmas Paet at a meeting in Manama that Estonia will be included among countries whose citizens will be issued visas at the border. The decision is expected to take effect in the next few months, the Estonian Foreign Ministry said.

Paet said at the meeting Estonia would like to create a solid basis of agreements with Bahrain and develop contacts in the fields of politics, economy and culture. Estonia is also interested in continuing talks towards an agreement on the protection of investments, he added.

The foreign ministers agreed on holding bilateral political consultations.
