Reform and IRL received most in donations

The Reform Party took in €169,985 in donations in the final quarter of 2017, while the Pro Patria Res Publica Union (IRL) received €162,245, information from the Riigikogu Party Financing Monitoring Committee suggests.

The Reform Party received a total of €169,985 in donations from private individuals, €2,026 in membership fees, and €401,955 from the state budget in Q4. The party’s assets earned it another €507.

The largest private donation was made by businessman Indrek Rahumaa who donated a total of €65,000 to the party. Matvei Nikitenko gave the party €20,000.

The Reform Party collected €574,473 in all in the final quarter of last year.

IRL received the most in donations from businessman Jüri Käo who put up €25,000. Reet Roos donated €20,000, Jaan Pillesaar, Ennu Tammemägi, and Kaspar Kokk each gave €10,000. Minister of Finance Toomas Tõniste made a donation of €5,900 to his party, with Tiina Mõis, Tiit Sõber, Arne Salong, and Hannes Tamjärv each donating at least €5,000.

IRL received a total of €162,245 from 158 donations in Q4 that complemented state budget support of €187,579 and membership fees of €1,442, putting the party’s grand total for the fourth quarter at €351,267.

The Conservative People’s Party (EKRE) collected €37,809 in private donations, received €93,790 from the state budget and €1,955 in membership fees. EKRE also made €1,294 on party property.

The party’s biggest donor was Argo Luude who contributed €12,900.

Therefore, EKRE collected a total of €134,848 in the fourth quarter of last year.

The Free Party took in donations in the amount of €1,362 in Q4. State budget support for the party came to €107,188 and membership fees to €1,090.

The largest single donation was made by party member Andres Ammas at €250.

The Free Party got a total of €106,640 from donations, state budget support, and membership fees.

The Estonian Greens collected €4,909 of which €3,000 was donated by businessman Tiit Pruuli. Another 30 people donated to the party.

The greens took in €1,022 in membership fees and €3,887 in donations. Membership fees were paid by 37 members.

Chairman of the greens Züleyxa Izmailova has not paid her membership fee nor made donations to the party in the past year.
