Yesterday withing the international exercises Saber Strike, US attack planes A-10 practiced landing and lifting on an extension of Jägala-Kärevete Highway.

The exercise was cut short after a plane hit a bird. The plane was okay yet they decided to halt the landings.

The attack planes arrived from the Lielvārde base in Latvia and returned thither once the exercise was over.

Since Soviet times, the extension of Jägala-Kärevete Highway has been in use as reserve airstrip.

The one man A-10 Thunderbolt II is known for its manoeuvrability and ability to fly low. In use since 1977, it is relevant to this day due to its capabilities and updates applied.
