Inspired by the PERH head case smelling of corruption, Central Criminal Police issued memorandum to social ministry asking them to consider setting time limit on term of office of hospital heads.
Central Criminal Police chief Krista Aas wrote that, in order to manage corruption risks, the trending practice is limiting term of office for executives to two times five years i.e. maximum of ten.
«Therefore, we ask you to review the terms of office in current statutes hospitals and clinics and to assess need to set the time limits for CEOs and board members,» wrote Ms Aas.
