World's most expensive coin shown in Tallinn

Yesterday, world's most expensive coin i.e. the first dollar minted in the United States of America was put on display in Estonian History Museum, sold in 2013 at auction price of $10,016,875. The coin is on display at Suurgildi House at Pikk Street, Tallinn till 5 pm today Estonian time. 

The silver dollar «Flowing Hair» made in 1794 was the initial dollar minted in then capital Philadelphia and was held in the very hand of first US President George Washington. It is known to be the best preserved 1794 silver dollar.

The option to go behold the coin in Tallinn was staged by Samlerhuset Group, a leading coins distributer in Europe. For those interested, entry to the exhibition is free while the organisers are asking to get registered in advance at www.flowinghair.ee.
