Moscow is inclined to maintain a mutually respectful dialogue with Estonia, which could facilitate the border treaties' entry into effect, Russian President Vladimir Putin said while accepting credentials from foreign ambassadors in the Kremlin on Thursday.

«We are predisposed toward a mutually respectful dialogue with Estonia in the spirit of neighborliness. Better confidence could facilitate the border treaties' entry into effect,» Putin said.

Moscow's position regarding the rights and legitimate interests of Russians living in Estonia is well-known, he said.

«We proceed from the assumption that they will be strictly observed,» the Russian president added.

The new ambassador of Estonia, Arti Hilpus, presented his credential to the Russian president in Thursday.
