The Estonian Road Administration has granted Superbus line permits for the Tallinn-Parnu, Tallinn-Narva and Tallinn-Tartu routes, it can be seen from the latest record.

Bus Transport Holding OU, low-cost bus company belonging to the Scottish tycoon Brian Souter which will operate in Estonia under the Superbus trademark, said in June it intends to open three lines on the Tallinn-Parnu, Tallinn-Narva and Tallinn-Tartu routes. Initially the lines were supposed to launch in July but the company repeatedly failed to get permits from the Road Administration because the departure times it applied for overlapped with the existing departure times.

In the summer the Road Administration was ready to partially satisfy the application but it did not suit Superbus. Director general of the road authority Priit Sauk has previously told BNS that perhaps the company was not 100 percent ready to start at once in Estonia.

«If it seems to Superbus there is some concrete act or restriction that appears unlawful or unreasonable, I'm ready to personally spend some time to fathom out whether the complaint is justified or not,» Sauk told BNS in an interview.
