Winner proclaimed for superministry design

Design contest for joint ministries building to be erected where finance ministry once stood was won by  «Valged» (The Whites) as depicting two white highrises interconnected. 

The work by architects Kai Süda, Risto Parve and Mait Väljas was praised by jury for its minimalistic language, clarity, simplicity, intelligent delicacy and discreet dignity.

The jury featured people from the company OÜ 2Torni to build the superministry as well as Architects Union. A total of 11 designs were presented, of which ten qualified.

In its assessments, the jury went by «what fits the city space, innovation of solution and ability to value the existing environment».
