The Estonian public broadcaster ERR will start broadcasting the program of ETV and ETV2 in High Definition (HD) on Sept. 7.
The Estonian public broadcaster ERR will start broadcasting the program of ETV and ETV2 in High Definition (HD) on Sept. 7.
Besides it will add to the content digital television subtitles that let the viewer choose subtitles in either Estonian or Russian, or opt for subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
ETV and ETV2 broadcasts in HD format will first reach clients of the cable and over-the-air service providers Elion and Starman. ERR hopes that in the future ETV and ETV2 broadcasts will be transmitted in HD format also by other service providers.
ERR's new Russian-language channel, ETV+, will go on the air on Sept. 28 also in HD format.
