Estonian security police officer Eston Kohver, under arrest in Russia and in Moscow Lefortovo district court today, replied to question by Postimees’ journalist saying he is hoping to be swapped.

After the decision to prolong arrest was declared, in corridor of the courthouse Postimees managed to pose a brief question to Eston Kohver: «Do you believe you will be swapped?»

For Mr Kohver, the question in the Estonian language came somewhat as a surprise. But, for the first time during today’s court session, he smiled and answered in a tone rather optimistic: «I’m hoping!».

These were Mr Kohver’s first words to media after his arrest on September 5th last year.

Right after reply, the convoy took Mr Kohver away.

Mr Kohver looked peaceful, his countenance like of a person reconciled to his situation. For a person soon under arrest for seven months, he looked to be in excellent physical shape.
