This year's title of Entrepreneur of the Year went to Juri Raidla, senior partner at the law firm Raidla Lejins & Norcous, and the life achievement award, to Enn Meri, head of the Saaremaa Island-based producer of rubber sealings for the automotive industry.
Around 1,000 entrepreneurs were invited to participate in the competition this year. Five finalists were picked after two-hour in-depth interviews with the candidates and an analysis of the companies' results for the last three years.
The winners were announced by President Toomas Hendrik Ilves at an event in Tallinn. Members of the jury included last year's winners Peeter and Priit Rebane from BDG Holding.
The national winner will go to Monaco next June to compete for the title of World Entrepreneur of the Year.
