A 17-year-old Estonian girl was raped in Goa, India by a local man, Deccan Heraldine reports.

In her complaint the victim said that Shameem Peshimamm from Mumbai accosted her at Chapora, a notorious village and a hub of narcotics activity in North Goa, and raped her.
A police official said that the victim has also complained that the accused snatched her phone and threatened to kill and bury her parents if she complained to the police about the rape.
The police have arrested the accused. According to the police the girl and his father have been living in North Goa for the past two years.
Spokespeople for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BNS that the family has not contacted the ministry. They added that if the family contacts the ministry, the foreign service will definitely help them.
