Estonian Air has stepped up activity on the charter market and will start flying Estonians to holiday destinations in partnership with several major tour operators.

«We have long kept an eye on developments in the Estonian charter market and we are sincerely glad that our cooperation with holiday travel operators is about to increase. The growth in the share of charter flights will have a positive effect on financial results of Estonian Air and enable us to make better use of the available aircraft resource. Estonian Air has concluded partnership agreements with several Estonian tour operators such as Germalo Reisid, Alpiexpress and Anhel Tours,» board member Indrek Randveer said.

Estonian Air's 88-seat planes give tour operators greater flexibility especially when it comes to choosing new destinations, Randveer added.

In the coming winter, i.e. from mid-December to the end of March, the airline will make charter flights for the ski trips organizer Alpiexpress. Estonian Air will be flying to Salzburg, Austria and Geneva, Switzerland once a week on Saturdays.

From June until the end of October 2015 the national carrier will be flying customers of Germalo Reisid to destinations such as the Faroe Islands, Rhodos, Santorini, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, and Cyprus. Under the agreement charter flights for Germalo Reisid will take place twice a day on Saturdays.

In summer 2015 the national carrier will continue cooperation with Anhel Tours. Once weekly flights to Antalya, Turkey will take place on Saturdays.

Estonian Air has a fleet of four Embraer 170 and three CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. Five planes serve regular flights to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. One aircraft is currently based in Birmingham on a lease to Air Charter Service.
