President Toomas Hendrik Ilves expressed his condolences to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and to the loved ones of the 49 people who perished on Sunday night on board an Ukrainian military transport aircraft that was shot down by separatists in Eastern Ukraine.
«After succesful presidential elections in Ukraine I am increasingly worried by the progressively violent activities of separatists, who clearly rely on external support in destabilising the state of Ukraine. I'm with you and with the future of your country in my thoughts. My deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims,» wrote Estonian Head of State to his Ukrainian colleague.
