Uudisvoog OÜ, a subsidiary of Koha Capital belonging by entrepreneur Ilmar Kompus (pictured) has purchased BNS Grupp from Alma Media ownership. As agreed by parties, the sales price is not published. As a result of the transaction, Alma Media’s first quarter results increase by €800,000.

«On the one hand, there is a desire to continue the current activities, as what’s been done so far has been well done. The fact that [BNS Grupp] did not fit into Alma’s strategy, that’s another subject,» said the buyer.

According to Mr Kompus, BNS has chances to expand – both by improving the market position of existing products and by developing new products.

In addition to that, Koha Capital has a holding in the Solaris Centre in central Tallinn; Mr Kompus is director general of Sky Meedia.

BNS Grupp is active in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania by news agency and media monitoring. The group’s last year turnover was €4.2m.
