Prime Ministers of Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania (pictured, from the left: Donald Tusk, Laimdota Straujuma, Andrus Ansip, Algirdas Butkevičius) affirmed at a meeting in Tallinn, yesterday, that there were no political obstacles to the fast trains track to pass the four countries; only technical nuances remain to be clarified.

Recently, there has been heated debate whether Rail Baltica ought to pass through Vilnius or Kaunas. As assessed by Estonia’s PM Andrus Ansip, the issue is to be settled between Lithuania and the European Union: the main thing is sticking to timetable so as to submit application for EU financing this spring.
