Five parties and four electoral alliances hand in candidate lists in Tallinn

In Tallinn by Tuesday evening five parties and four electoral alliances had handed in their list of candidates, and 10 independent candidates had set up their candidacy as well.

A representative for Tallinn's electoral committee told BNS that five parties had presented their lists in Tallinn: the Reform Party, the Social Democratic Party (SDE), the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL), the Conservative People's Party (EKRE) and the Center Party.

The list of the Reform Party consists of 400 people, the list of SDE of 188, IRL's list of 230, EKRE's list of 90 and the list of the Center Party of 457 candidates.

The electoral alliances Vaba Tallinna Kodanik, Tallinna Rohelised, Rodina and Ule-Eestiline Valimisliit also handed in their lists with respectively 93, 35, 3 and 76 candidates.

By Tuesday evening 10 independent candidates had also set up their candidacy in Tallinn: Mikk Metslaid, Janno Tults, Ants Aaslaid, Veiko Kiel, Joeri Wiersma, Marina Suhnjova, Vladimir Beljakov, Lui Piirsalu, Ilmar Ibragimov and Meelis Kaldalu.

Altogether the lists of parties have 1,365 and the lists of electoral alliances 207 candidates which means that a total of 1,582 candidates are running in local elections in Tallinn.
