Turay to run in the ranks of SDE.

Abdul Turay (46) is set to become the first black person to run for a local government council in Estonian history. Turay, who will run in downtown Tallinn, said he plans to represent the international community and his son, and that he opted for the social democrats because he cannot see himself supporting the Reform Party, the Center Party or IRL even though his political convictions are a little more on the conservative side and lean towards liberal democracy. Turay is a political columnist and author of the book "Small White Nation". In related news, Reform Party's Laine Randjärv announced on Friday she will not be running for mayor in Tallinn and will support either Valdo Randpere or Vilja Savisaar-Toomast in the capital. Reform's Minister of Finance Jürgen Ligi has also made it known he does not plan to set up his candidacy.
