President Toomas Hendrik Ilves on Tuesday congratulated Estonian discus thrower Gerd Kanter on the bronze medal won by him at the Athletics World Championships in Moscow.

Kanter took bronze in men's discus at the World Championships in Moscow on Tuesday with a throw of 65.19 meters. Robert Harting of Germany won the finals with 69.11 meters and Piotr Malachowski of Poland was second with 68.36.
