According to data published by Eurostat the industrial production of the eurozone decreased 0.3 percent in May and showed a year-on-year decline of 1.3 percent.
The European Union's industrial production fell by 0.6 percent against April and by 1.6 percent compared to May 2012, the statistics agency said on Friday.
Year on year, industrial production grew the most in Lithuania and Estonia, by respectively 21.6 and 6.3 percent. The biggest yearly declines of 7.7 percent were recorded in Ireland and Sweden.
