Tallinn Airport sees passenger numbers down 11.4 pct on year in June

Tallinn Airport served 199,828 passengers in June, 11.4 percent less than the year before.

In the first six months of the year 921,576 passengers used the services of the airport, a drop of 12.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, statistics of the state-owned airport operator Tallinna Lennujaam show.

In May the airport served 184,200 passengers.

Passengers of international flights numbered 198,091 and passengers of domestic flights 1,737 last month.

The airport handled 9,159 tons of goods in the six months, 13.3 percent less than the year before. Freight turnover in June was 1,155 tons, representing a 13.7 percent drop in annual comparison.

In June 3,436 flights took place via the airport, 27.8 percent less than in the same month last year. The number of flights in the first six months totaled 18,644, which marks a year-on-year drop of 22.8 percent.
