Of the members of the eight-strong supervisory board of the Bank of Estonia only MP Tonis Palts has debts to banks and the borrowings of the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL) deputy amount to more than 860,000 euros, according to the annual statements of economic interests.

Center Party MP Kalev Kallo and Reform MP Valdo Randpere have car leases, the statements published in the official gazette Riigi Teataja show.

Most of the members of the supervisory board get their regular income, in addition to their salaries from being supervisory board and parliament members, from other governmental institutions. Only one member, Irene Kull, has worked for several law firms during the last year.

Liina Tonisson declared pension as an additional income while the former chairman of the supervisory board, Jaan Sven Mannik, got a pension from three countries: Estonia, Sweden and Canada. Mannik was also the only one who declared interest income as his additional income.

The new chairman of the supervisory board, Mart Laar, has invested almost 250,000 euros in different shares and other securities. The rest of the members mainly have declared units of pension funds as investments.

Governor of the Bank of Estonia Ardo Hansson owns land in both Estonia and the United States, but has no liabilities to banks. He has 482,267 US dollars in the World Bank pension fund, in addition to two pension funds in Canada, totaling respectively 47,513 and 105,271 dollars.
