A bomb threat was made to the Tartu city government Tuesday afternoon but no explosives were found in the course of a search.

The call saying there was a bomb in the Town Hall came at 4:30 p.m. The building was evacuated but the subsequent search found nothing suspicious, spokespeople for the South police prefecture said.

The Town Hall houses a pharmacy besides the city government.

A criminal investigation has been opened.
