The reputable US daily New York Times on Sunday praised the Baltic States, in process of restoration after communism and civil wars, the land register systems of which exceed even that of Greece, a long time member of the European Union.

«According to experts, even the Baltics, in the process of restoration after years of communism and civil wars, are ways ahead of Greece/../,» write the newspaper in an article on the disordered land registers in Greece.

A little later, the newspaper did correct the text, the «Baltics» thus becoming the «Balkans».
