Tallinna Vesi, the water utility of the Estonian capital Tallinn, emerged as the turnover leader in weekly trade on the Tallinn stock exchange.

The OMXT index inched up 0.27 percent to 816.49 points and the turnover from 716 trades was nearly three million euros.

"The index moved higher at the beginning of the week but almost fell back to the previous level after the holiday," trader for LHV pank Ragnar Plees told BNS.

Similar movement was characteristic of the stocks, he said. Garment company Baltika, for instance, was more influenced by the news of a successful April than the announcement that the company will forgo dividend this year.

Tallinna Vesi slipped 0.92 percent to 10.8 euros a share with 1.3 million euros in turnover from 116 trades.

Gaming operator Olympic Entertainment Group ended flat at 1.78 euros after 188 trades in which 408,807 euros' worth of shares changed hands.

Media holding Ekspress Grupp finished unchanged at 1.12 euros with 18 trades transacted and a turnover of 277,853 euros.
