Readers pick worst minister

Of government ministers currently in office, Postimees readers voted Juhan Parts the Minister of Economic Affairs to be the worst. Mr Parts gained 4,104 «yes» votes – 34.6 per cent of total vote tally.

Prime Minister Andrus Ansip landed second worst with 17.4 per cent or 2,064 people not satisfied with his performance.

Third place was secured by Minister of the Interior Ken-Marti Vaher (1,260 votes, 10.6 per cent).

The thousand vote threshold was also passed by education minister Jaak Aaviksoo (1,458) and culture minister Rein Lang (1,120).

The remaining ministers gathered more modest amounts of votes, with environmental minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus and Siim Kiisler gaining 480 and 318 votes, respectively.

Finance minister Jürgen Ligi got 292 votes, social minister Taavi Rõivas 197. They were followed by minister of agriculture Helir-Valdor Seeder (182), foreign minister Urmas Paet (136), minister of justice Hanno Pevkur (123) and defence minister Urmas Reinsalu (115).

The poll gained over 11,800 responses.

On April 6th, the current government was in office two years sharp.
