Estonian stocks: Ekspress soars 7.55 pct in weekly trade

 The share of media holding Ekspress Grupp moved up 7.55 percent on the Tallinn stock exchange in the outgoing week.

The index, OMXT, firmed 0.77 percent Friday to Friday ending at 826.41 points and the weekly turnover from 1,204 transactions was 9.5 million euros.

"Tallink Grupp share was responsible for the bulk of the week's turnover," LHV Pank trader Ragnar Plees told BNS.

The week offered little in terms of news, Plees said. "The impact from Cyprus didn't reach the Baltic stock exchanges directly, and globally too it probably had an effect on one or two days only," he added.

Shipper Tallink Grupp finished the week 1.96 percent higher at 1.04 euros with turnover of 7.5 million euros from 342 trades.

Water company Tallinna Vesi firmed 0.97 percent to 10.4 euros as 524 253 euros' worth of shares changed hands in 143 trades.

Olympic Entertainment Group came down 0.51 percent to 1.94 euros in 209 transactions that produced turnover of 384 180 euros.
