Producer price index increased in February

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.3 % compared to January and by 4.3% compared to February 2012.

In February compared to the February 2012, the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of electricity and heat energy and by the decrease in the manufacture of oil products and electronic equipment.

In February 2013, the export price index changed by 1.3% compared to January 2013 and by -0.7% compared to February 2012.

In February, compared to the previous month, the prices of petroleum products and food products increased more than average and the prices of electricity, metal products and motor vehicles decreased more than average.

In February 2013, the import price index changed by 0.7% compared to January 2013 and by -0.3% compared to February 2012.

In February compared to the previous month, the prices of petroleum products, wearing apparel and agricultural products increased more than average and the prices of electricity and food products decreased more than average.
