Estonia's Q4 output-based labor productivity climbs 7.6 pct on year

 Labor productivity per person employed on the basis of industrial production totaled 28,190 euros in Estonia in the fourth quarter of 2012, 7.6 percent more than in the same three-month period in 2011, figures available from Statistics Estonia show.

Compared with the third quarter of 2012, the rate of increase was 5.6 percent.

Labor productivity per person employed on the basis of industrial production was 26,610 euros in manufacturing and 17,840 euros in mining, compared with respectively 26,220 euros and 18,230 euros in the third quarter and 25,000 euros and 16,800 euros in the fourth quarter of 2011.

In electricity, steam and hot water supply labor productivity in the fourth quarter was 78,050 euros, compared with 50,010 euros in the third quarter and 62,000 euros in the final quarter of 2011.

The share of personnel costs in one euro of output was 14.2 percent in the three months October to December 2012, compared with 13.3 percent in the preceding quarter and 14.4 percent in the final quarter of 2011.
