An owl, resting its wings on chimney top of a private house at Köie Street, Valga, on March 6th 2013, was spotted by choughs and other angry birds.
At about 11am the militant flock set the battle in array and commenced circling the owl, shrieking in an intimidating manner.
Occasionally, the owl suffered an attack, finally seeking shelter in the chimney. After an hour, it resurfaced – whereupon the previous manoeuvres were repeated by both parties.
According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation lasted well into the afternoon (to 5pm, minimum), following the same pattern.
