Rehemaa takes surprise 7th in XC World Championship

Aivar Rehemaa took seventh place in the 15-kilometer individual-start, freestyle race, at the FIS Nordic Ski Championship in Val di Fiemme on Wednesday, reported ERR News.

It is a career best for Rehemaa and the result came as a welcome surprise to sports fans, with the 30-year-old beating out Swiss star Dario Cologna, reported sport.err.ee.

Petter Northug of Norway won his eighth world championship title. Second place went to Johan Olsson of Sweden and third place to Tord Asle Gjerdalen of Norway.
