«Dear friends, Ieva and I are glad to share the news that in fall our family will welcome an addition. The critical months are now over and we are glad to confirm the news to the broader public. The child is expected after the end of my term of office. I rely, therefore, on your understanding that this is a private family matter,» Ilves said on social media Thursday.
Toomas Hendrik Ilves has a son, Luukas Kristjan, and a daughter, Juulia Kristiine, from his marriage with Merry Bullock.
From his second marriage, with Evelin Ilves, Toomas Hendrik Ilves has a daughter, Kadri Keiu.
Ilves and Latvian cyber defense expert Ieva Kupce got married on Jan. 2 this year.
