Yesterday afternoon saw tram and trolley traffic grind to a halt as wires got covered with ice. The city called for buses to help out.

At Charles’ Church, to cite an example, seven trolleybuses were spotted to be standing still by a Postimees photographer at 4:45 pm.

«Sheer madness! People are falling like dominoes. The cars got this icy coating, in an instant,» worded a reader.

The severe weather left Elron traffic not untouched as some trains were late.

City life begun to normalise about 7 in the evening.
