Estonian Air's passenger numbers grow 17.8 pct in July

Estonian Air had 65,643 passengers in July of whom 62,261 flew on regular flights, which marks a year-on-year increase of 18.4 percent.

In the first seven months of 2015 the airline carried 341,591 passengers including 330,180 on regular flights. Compared to the same period last year, the number of passengers on regular flights increased by 8.5 percent, Estonian Air said on Friday.

According to CEO Indrek Randveer the company has increased its market share at Tallinn airport to 30.6 percent.

In the first seven months of 2015 the flagship carrier operated 7,040 flights, 13 percent more than during the same period last year. In July 1,074 flights took place, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent.

The regularity of flights in Jan-July was 98.8 percent and the 15-minute punctuality, 89.9 percent. In July the regularity and punctuality were 98.7 percent and 83.8 percent, respectively.

Estonian Air is the biggest operator at the Tallinn airport. The airline flies regular routes to Arlanda and Bromma near Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. It also offers seasonal flights to Munich, Paris, Berlin, Nice, Vienna, Split and Milan until the end of October. In addition to direct flights, Estonian Air provides more than 280 destinations around the world together with partner airlines.
