The National Election Committee will on Monday register members of the new Estonian parliament and officially announce the result of the March 1 parliamentary election.

The Supreme Court has by now reviewed all the complaints filed in relation to the March 1 polls and either rejected them or judged against the party making the complaint. Since final decisions have been made as regards the complaints filed with the Supreme Court, the National Election Committee will register members of the Riigikogu at its meeting starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, spokespeople for the committee said.

By this the outcome of the Riigikogu election will be made official.

Besides the committee will decide about substitute members of the Riigikogu and the return of deposits to the parties that won seats in parliament.

The decision of the National Election Committee will take effect on the day following the date of its publication in the Riigi Teataja official bulletin. From the same day the powers of the new members of parliament will start and those of the members of the previous parliament end.
