The Free Party has proposed that the four Estonian parties holding talks to form a government coalition break off the talks in their current form and the Social Democratic Party (SDE) supports the proposal.

«We are not talking about breaking off the but rather talks breaking off the plenary meetings,» member of the board of the Free Party Kulliki Kubarsepp told BNS, commenting on the letter the party sent to other negotiation participants. «Until solutions haven't been found for main issues there is no point in continuing with such a big council.»

«We are first of all waiting for the position of parties regarding breaking off plenary meetings,» Kubarsepp said. She added that SDE has also decided to break off plenary meetings while the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL) have not answered yet.

According to Kubarsepp chairman of the Reform Party, Prime Minister Taavi Roivas, has given to the Free Party «notes on the agreement on a white paper» but no official proposals have been made to the party so far.

The Free Party planned to hold an extraordinary board meeting on Wednesday evening but has decided to cancel it.
