Crown princess of Sweden places wreath at ferry Estonia memorial in Tallinn

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel on Tuesday laid a wreath at the foot of the ferry Estonia memorial in Tallinn's Old Town.

The crown princess and her husband started their two day visit in Estonia on Tuesday with laying a wreath at the memorial in Tallinn at noon.

On the first day of their visit the royal couple will meet with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mrs. Evelin Ilves. Thereafter the royal couple will participate in the presentation ceremony of the Swedish Business Award 2014 at the KUMU art museum along with Prime Minister Taavi Roivas, where the princess will make a short speech. The royal couple will also participate in the Sustainable Development Forum 2014 dedicated to the Gulf of Finland Year and Baltic Sea Year, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Olumpia, where the princess will also speak.

On the second day of the visit they will visit Ericsson Estonia after which they will travel to Tartu to participate in a presentation ceremony of the Nordic Museum's ethnography collection and ethno-design seminar at the Estonian National Museum. In Tartu, they will also meet with members of the Estonian Students' Society and take part in a seminar at the University of Tartu focusing on the long-term relations between Estonia and Sweden.
