Yesterday on former Murru Prison lot in Vasalemma Commune, Harju County, a company of the US 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team practiced seizing territory. The three-hour exercise featured some hundred troops and eight helicopters.

According to Captain Orlando Zombrano of said company, the buildings were successfully seized. The Murru Prison, he said, is an excellent spot for practicing such operations as the buildings complex is quite a maze by plan – thus providing for unique new experience at exercises.

Capt. Zombrano said to seize the buildings, the Americans used special non-lethal rubber exercise-bullets in their combat weapons; these provide for an excellent overview of their marksmanship.

Participating in the exercises were two AH-64 Apache combat choppers, four UH-60 Black Hawk general-purpose copters, and two CH-47 Chinook type transport helicopters.
