In Tallinn, arrangements underway for arrival of Obama

Yesterday morning, a transport aircraft of US Air Forces touched down on Tallinn Airport with equipment on board for the visit by President of the United States Barack Obama – including a Sikorsky helicopter.

At noon, the limousine of Mr Obama was spotted in Toompea, trying out the narrow and winding cobble stone streets of Tallinn Old Town.

President Obama is due in Tallinn late Tuesday night. On Wednesday, Mr Obama is meeting his Estonian counterpart Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas, as well as the Presidents of Latvia and Lithuania.

In the afternoon, Mr Obama will hold a speech addressing students, civil society activists and political leaders in Nordea Concert Hall. Come evening, the US President will leave Estonia flying towards Wales, UK for the NATO summit starting on Thursday.
