Passenger plane damaged at Tallinn landing

Today, the tail of a Smartlynx Airbus 320 plane ES-SAL coming in from Bulgaria touched down at Tallinn Airport landing strip before wheels ever reached the ground, said Public Broadcasting (ERR). None on board was hurt.

According to Smartlynx representative Jurgis Sedlenieks, the tail was damaged to a degree but the aircraft taxied safely to let the travellers out. 

Mr Sedlenieks added that causes to the incident may not be commented ere the issue is investigated. Still, the man did mention the weather as a possible factor.

According to Tallinn Airport communications director Margit Holts, conditions for landing and visibility were good at the moment of landing. 

Upcoming flights by Smartlynx will be on schedule, using substitute aircraft.
