This week, over 300 conscripts were drafted to do their duties regarding national defence – the initial call of the New Year.

At invitation by Defence Resources Agency, most of the conscripts will enter service at the Guard Battalion and Naval Base. Some of the young men will be despatched to North-Eastern Defence District units and Combat Service Support Battalion.

Yesterday’s call also signalled start of military service for six young ladies (in front, photographed at Tapa), who will be located at Pioneeripataljon (a combat engineering force), Artillery Battalion, and Air Defence Battalion.
