Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves sent a message of condolences to King Juan Carlos I of Spain over the tragic train crash.

«I am grieving together with you and bow my head in memory of the victims,» the president said. «I would like to ask you to forward our sincere sympathy to the victims' families and friends and wish speedy recovery to the injured.»

On Thursday seven days' mourning was declared in Spain in connection with the rail disaster.

At least 77 people died and 143 were injured after a train traveling from Madrid to the northern town of Ferrol derailed near Santiago de Compostela on Wednesday night.
