City of Tallinn's budget 50.9 pct full at the end of June

Receipts of the budget of the City of Tallinn in the first six months of the year totaled 236.9 million euros, equaling 50.9 percent of the target for the full year exclusive of financing activities.

Tax revenue received during the period amounted to 148 million euros, making up 50.5 percent of the sum projected for the full year. The sum included personal income tax in the amount of 129.1 million euros or 50.1 percent of the target, 14.6 million euros of land tax or 52.2 percent and 4.3 million euros in local taxes or 55.8 percent, spokespeople for the city government said.

Economic activity by institutions of the city produced 30.1 million euros, 47.9 percent of the target for the full year. Other revenue totaled 1.2 million euros in the first six months or 50.6 percent of the sum projected for the full year.

Support from the state and external finance totaled 48.5 million euros, amounting to 54.4 percent of the 2013 budget target.

Expenditures made by the city in the six months added up to 236.9 million euros, equaling 46.2 percent of budgeted full-year expenditure.

The city's treasury contained 32.7 million euros in free assets at the end of the period.
