Estonian Air replaces supervisory board chairman.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications Juhan Parts has replaced recent chairman Erkki Raasuke with executive director of Infortar Jaan Tamm in what is being described as an anticipated move as Raasuke was merely tasked with restructuring the company. The minister said he picked Jaan Tamm because the airline needs someone with experience in passenger transport. Infortar is the majority owner of Baltic Sea shipping giant Tallink. The move creates questions, however, as rumors from 2008 suggest Tallink had plans to obtain an 83 percent holding in the airline at that time. While Parts said such connections are arbitrary, both the minister and Tamm left the door open concerning potential involvement of new shareholders in the future.
