Mayan Queen, Mexican billionaire Alberto Baillères’ mighty yacht in Tallinn

Yesterday, May 27th, Tallinn was visited by a world top luxury yacht Mayan Queen IV – here for a day, gone by midnight.

The extravagant vessel is owned by Mexican billionaire Alberto Bailleres Gonzales (81), 32nd wealthiest in the world according to Forbes charts, second richest in Mexico. As of March 2013, the man’s net worth amounts to $18.2bn.

The businessman owns Mexico’s second largest mining company and a world leading silver mine. He also controls a department store chain, an insurance group, and a pension fund, having holdings in the leading bottling company of Mexico and Latin-America.

The luxury yacht is 92 metres long and 15.88 metres wide, with gross tonnage of 3,879. Having visited Stockholm and Helsinki, Mayan Queen IV came to Tallinn from St Petersburg.
