Estonian govt grants citizenship to 12 Russians, Ukrainians

The Estonian government on Thursday endorsed the naturalization of 12 people who were formerly citizens of Russia and Ukraine, as well as restored the citizenship of one person.

Of the applicants whose applications for citizenship were granted ten are citizens of Russia and two of Ukraine, spokespeople for the government said. They have been granted Estonian citizenship on the condition that they are released from their previous nationality.

Besides the government restored the Estonian citizenship of one person who lost it as a minor and is now a citizen of Russia.
